This paper presents case studies of damper applications in tall buildings in Japan and the Philippines, addressing long-period ground motion effects. The study covers various damper types including oil dampers, viscous damping walls, BRBs, and viscoelastic coupling dampers (VCDs), demonstrating their effectiveness in seismic and wind-resistant design.
